Welcome to Spain where we don't speak spanish

My host family met me at the airport in Barcelona with a large sign that said "Welcome", "Bienvenida" and "Benvinguda". Since I will be living an hour away from Barcelona, I will be speaking Catalan with my friends and Spanish in my house. Do I know Spanish, not really. Do I know Catalan, not at all. So it's safe to say that I will be spending the whole year widening my vocabulary. Buenas Suerte. Or should I say, "Bons Sort!"
